As many of you may know, I do not yet have "baby fever." Instead, I have a serious case of "pet fever." In all honesty, I would really love to have a dog, but since Derek and I live in an apartment and are gone for a significant portion of the day, we don't think that it's feasible to own a dog. Plus, we have a few week-long trips coming up in the next few months, and it's more expensive to have someone take care of a dog while we're away.
But no need to fear, because I actually also LOVE cats, too! I was raised always having a cat for as long as I can remember, until my last cat died while I was in college and my parents wouldn't let me get a new one. So make fun of me if you want, but I'm coming out of the closet as a bonafide cat-lover! And you know what? Maybe I WILL grow up and be THAT cat lady when I get older. My friend Suzanne advised me to start putting up posters of cats in my classroom and wearing googly-eyed sweaters of cats.
Well I got an email with a link to the following video that just makes my day! So here's a notice to Derek: On Christmas morning, I expect to find a gift-wrapped cat under our tree!! I hope you enjoy this video, even if you're not as much of a cat person.
I REALLY want a cat! And Derek even told me last night that when we get back from Christmas break, we can start looking for one online!!! WOOHOO!!! So I guess that means that for presents from now on, we can just always ask for lint rollers so that we don't show up to work with hair balls all over our clothes.
Have a purrrfect day! (haha, YES I DID JUST SAY THAT!!!)

I volunteer for a pet rescue in Loganville (right by you!) and I know of a few rescues that have the cutest kittens! You can find them on petfinder.com! And don't worry, I am a crazy cat lady, too, and proud of it :)
